Abberley is a small village in North West Worcestershire, England. It is situated between the River Severn and River Teme. It had a population of 830 in 2001.
There are three parts to the village of Abberley. The oldest part, The Village, has been around since the 12th and 13th century. Abberley Hall is on the opposite side of Abberley Hill. It was formerly a country house until 1916 when preparatory school Abberley Hall School moved its premises there.
There are two churches in Abberley. The oldest is the ruined St. Michael’s Church, yet the chancel was restored and is still used for occassional services. St. Mary’s Church was built between 1850 and 1852 to succeed St. Michael’s to the north of the village.
